Hey, really enjoying your posts. I have a question that I've been wondering about. Why do humans lick the insides of each others mouths when they are intimate with each other. Does it have anything to do with the microbiome? I'm aware that our saliva is not produced in the stomach. How ever, what could be the biological explanation for our kissing?
You got a lot of mouth bacteria too. It's its own whole distinct microbiome, and it's a very, very important one...especially when you think about the time before dentistry.
Hazelnut spread - you're talking about Nocciolata? I never liked hazelnut spread until I discovered that one. Just finished an extra large jar. Be warned!
In further contemplation and some watermelon that was loaded with seeds, I realized that the engineering of “seedless” fruits is just another way to make us more and more mindless about the food. I mean, eating a watermelon with seeds is an act of defiance and mindfulness. It’s hard to even find one with seeds. What information do you think that provides to our bodies ---> bear no fruit. 🤔
Another edition I love. I would say in the process. of two becoming one this actually becomes multitudes. This also reminded me of the mindfulness of the blessing of food remembered from childhood but less mindfully practiced now “Bless oh Lord this food to our use and us to thy loving service. Keep us ever mindful of the needs of others.” Perhaps we can think of the needs of “others” at an even smaller scale. As above, so below
